If there’s one thing I know about the Internet, it’s this: It does not forgive grammatical errors. It’s one thing to text your friend, “wut r u doing tom nite?” (I sincerely hope you don’t do that though.)<\/em> And quite another to post something even remotely similar online \u2014 if you dare, grammar Nazis will pounce on you faster than you can say, “Huh?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not to say that you should work on your grammar just to avoid being trolled online, far from it \u2014 a good grasp and efficient use of the language gives you an edge both in your work setting and your interpersonal communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
