Lai Jingping
Lai Jingping, a former US diplomat, set up the Wuxia World website in 2014. It features complete translations of Chinese fantasy novels.
Wuxia, meaning martial heroes, refers to fictional stories about ordinary humans who achieve supernatural fighting abilities through Chinese martial arts training and internal energy cultivation.
Lai is better known as RWX on Wuxia World. It is the abbreviation of Ren Wo Xing, the name of his favorite character in The Smiling, Proud Wanderer written by Jin Yong, a renowned master of Wuxia fiction.
The seven-year-old website soon grew into a community of loyal fans. Wuxia World now has 16 million visitors a month.
